1. Career center hosts internship and summer camp fair

2. Hall Center brings novelist Chris Abani to KU

Imprisoned by the Nigerian government as a teenager for his first novel, tortured and placed on death row for subsequent work critical of the government, Abani is one of the most admired novelists in the world today.

3. Faculty to reprise 'Late Afternoon Poetry Reading'

New Work, a Late Afternoon Poetry Reading will feature Joseph Harrington, William J. Harris and Kenneth Irby, all associate professors of English. The event is sponsored by the Spencer museum and is free and open to the public.

4. Lawrence premiere of 'The Only Good Indian' to benefit KU film department

The premiere will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, at Liberty Hall, 642 Massachusetts St. Half of the proceeds from ticket sales will go to KU Friends of Film to support the Department of Film and Media Studies.
