At Seton Hill University, our students most appreciate the accessibility of our facility. Unlike many schools that use graduate assistants or teaching assistants, our faculty spends their time in the classroom focusing on teaching and interacting with the studnets. With a 13:1 student to faculty ratio, prospective students can also rest assured that they will be in an intimate learning environment.
In addition, students at Seton Hill find that our liberal arts curriculum gives them a solid foundation. Our students feel a connection to their studies and are prepared for acreers in their field. They are also ready to tackle planned as well as unplanned situations in life. Seton Hill students are also well informed about current events in the world and in the community, and feel compelled to take part in charitable works that are a part of our heritage and tradition on campus.

Seton Hill University just completed construction on a new, multifaceted recreation complex, the McKenna Complex. The complex houses work out facilities, including a full aerobic room and indoor walking track. It is also the home of the Seton Hill University Griffin's Men's and Women's Basketball Teams! In addition, SHU has begun consturction on new athletic fields for many of our sports teams. Our inaugural football season takes places in the fall of 2005 when we welcome the first ever Seton Hill University Griffin Football Team. Did you know that the Griffin, the official mascot at Seton Hill, was voted in by Seton Hill students and appeared on the scene in 2003? A graphic arts student at SHU did the artistic design!

Our Christmas on the Hill is a very popular and beloved tradition at Seton Hill University. Each year, just before the students leave for winterbreak, the Dining Services and Student Services host a wonderful holiday sit-down dinner and dance for students. Students dress formally, and enjoy being served by the staff, faculty, and administration of the institution. The event is truly one of the most cherished on campus with the Seton Hill community.
